Witnessing An Act Of Kindness Between Strangers

Today while waiting for Mom at the doctor’s office, there was a woman standing at the front desk window discussing her confusion about forms she needed to fill out from another doctor’s office for certain medical procedures she needed to be done in this office. The woman at the front desk did her best to explain everything to this poor confused woman. I didn’t really listen to the conversation despite that I was the only other person in the waiting room, but I caught bits and pieces as the poor woman would get a little exasperated once in a while during her conversation. After about another 10 minutes, the woman thanked the front desk person for her help and abruptly turned to leave. The woman at the front desk stopped her and asked her if she still wanted to make an appointment after she had the correct forms from the other doctor’s office. The woman turned around and broke down in tears and said no because she didn’t have the extra money it was going to cost her. The woman at the front desk immediately stood up and told the lady to go into the back of the office with her and she’d make a couple phone calls to the other doctor’s office and get some questions asked and more information. The crying woman opened the office door and the front desk lady met her there and put her arm around her and said, “we’ll get this straightened out”, as she leads her to the back of the office. My heart broke for her. I just silently sent her some love & prayers while I waited for Mom. About 30 minutes later the woman walked out of the office looking calmer and a bit relieved. I don’t know what transpired while they were back there, but I suspect they got something good accomplished. My heart went out to her and I have continued to send her love all day. Tonight at almost 2:30 AM, I still can’t get her out of my head. Even now, I still send her love and some prayers for more blessings and miracles. I also send love and blessings to the front desk lady for her kindness to the woman today. 📷📷📷📷📷📷📷

It doesn’t cost anything to be kind to anyone. I witnessed someone find their angel on earth in a desperate moment. My heart ached and I was moved by the kindness of this other woman who went out of her way to help this other person. She could have just let her walk out of that office in her despair and desperation for some kind of miracle. She could have just shrugged her shoulders with a “Not my problem” attitude, but she didn’t. She reached out and wouldn’t let this person leave without at least trying to assist her in her predicament. In the end, it must have worked. The woman’s face was calmer, she looked relieved and less stressed, her tears dried.Every day I strive to be a better version of myself and with that said, I strive to leave other people better than when I found them. I felt blessed to see with my own eyes that there is light in this world. There are kind people.I had asked for some inspiration this morning as I was tired on the spiritual level. I was feeling like I was a disappointment on many levels. I felt that my optimism was waning. There has been so much going on that I felt drained without reprieve.Today I found that reprieve and inspiration again. ~
